Day 1: Delhi arrive

Greet at the airport & transfer to their hotel. Night in Delhi. India’s capital and major gateway to the country, contemporary is a bustling metropolis which successfully combines in its folds both the ancient and the modern. The division between New Delhi and Old Delhi is the division between the capitals of the British and the Mughals respectively. The walled city (Old Delhi) is all traditional and culture where one shall be able to glimpse a past lifestyle. New Delhi on the contrary is a city trying to live up to the 21st century standards.  

 

Day 2: Delhi (B)

Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning city sightseeing tour of Old and New Delhi, visiting Qutab Minar, India Gate (War Memorial), Humayun's Tomb, Lakshmi Narayan Temple-modern Hindu Temple, drive past President's House, Parliament House and Secretariat Buildings. Also visit Raj Ghat - the cremation site of Mahatma Gandhi, Jama Masjid and drive past Red Fort and Chandni Chowk, shopping centre of Old Delhi. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 3: Delhi – Mathura - Agra By Car (B)

Breakfast served at the hotel. Morning drive to Agra (204 km / 128 miles / approx 4 hrs drive) en route visiting Mathura (the birth place of Lord Krishna). Upon arrival at Agra, check-in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel. 
Agra, with its laid -back lifestyle and its immense wealth of architecture, handicrafts and jewellery, is amongst the most remarkable city of the world. In terms of ambience it is still associated with its Mughal period led by Babar, who arrived in 1526. Agra grew in prominence as almost all of India came under the rule of Mughal empire but Agra reached its zenith under the rule of Akbar, Shah Jehan and Jehangir.It was under the rule of Akbar that Agra become a leading centre of art, science, commerce and culture. 

 

Day 4: Agra (B)

Early morning (at sunrise) visit the world famous Taj Mahal built by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains (Taj Mahal closed on Fridays).  Return to hotel for breakfast. Morning visit the Agra Fort near the gardens of the Taj Mahal stands the important 16th-century Mughal monument known as the Red Fort of Agra. This powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 5: Agra – Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur By Car (B, D)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning drive to Jaipur (234 km / 146 miles / approx 5 hrs drive) en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri. Fatehpur Sikri the `Deserted City' built by the Mughal Emperor - Akbar the Great in 1569 and later abandoned due to political reasons and scarcity of water. See the halls of Public and Private Audience, the royal apartments and the Panch Mahal. In the religious section see the Jumma Masjid and the exquisite tomb of Salim Chisti. Upon arrival at Jaipur, check-in at resort. 

 

Day 6: Jaipur (B)

The capital city of the state of Rajasthan is popularly known as "Pink City" because of the pink paint applied to the buildings in its old walled city during the visit of Prince Albert of Britain in 1883. Jaipur has been like that since 1727 when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II had it built. The palaces and forts of yesteryears that were witness to royal processions and splendour are now living monuments, accepted quite naturally into the lifestyles of the people of the pink city. Except for the busy traffic of bicycles, cars and buses, little seems to have changed.  

Breakfast at hotel. Morning excursion to Amber Fort with elephant ride. Amber Fort the ancient capital of the State until 1728. Visit the Jag Mandir or the Hall of victory glittering with mirrors, Jai Mahal and Temple of Kali. Ascend on Elephant back, the hill, on which the fort is situated. Afternoon city sightseeing tour of Jaipur, visiting Maharaja's City Palace, the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), the Royal Observatory, Albert Hall. Later drive through this Pink City's business and residential areas. Overnight stay at the hotel.

 

Day 7: Jaipur - Bikaner (B, L)

After breakfast check out and drive to Bikaner (5 hours drive). You can also visit Laxmangarh and Nawalgarh on the way. Bikaner :  Tucked away in the desert region of western Rajasthan. This is true desert country. The imposing palaces, beautiful and richly sculptured temples of red and yellow sand stones display some of the finest creations of Rajput civilization. It's lust for ''desert'' or affection for ''desert'' that tickles every heart to visit Bikaner. Arrive Bikaner by lunch and check into hotel  P.M. visit the unusual Junagarh Fort sumptuously decorated with its ornately lacquered walls in red & gold and panels of dazzling colored glass inlay set over the coronation throne. Overnight at the hotel. 

 

Day 8: Bikaner – Jaisalmern (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today you will on your journey through the vast Thar Desert to the ancient caravan city of Jaisalmer (5 hours drive). Jaisalmer is one of the last princely bastions in the region, founded on the Cross roads of lucrative trade routes. The name Jaisalmer evokes a vivid picture of sheer Magic and brilliance of the desert. The beautiful havelis which were built by wealthy merchants of Jaisalmer are yet another interesting aspect of the desert city. The rest of the day will be at leisure. Local colour and warmth prevail over the inhospitable and forbidding terrain, imbuing the medieval town with a special magic. Arrive and check into hotel.  Evening  at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 9: Jaisalmern (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy city tour of Jaiaslmer.  Explore the honey-colored fort that emerges from the flat dry desert sands and enjoy a walk through the maze of narrow streets in the city with ornately decorated havelis. The most exotic mansions or havelis, all intricately latticed, are stretched all over Jaisalmer, each with a different façade. This evening enjoy camel ride by the sand dunes (optional on extra cost) The best way to explore the romantic sand dunes and around the desert is a camel safari. Camel rides on the sand dunes at sunset are an unforgettable experience. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 10: Jaisalmer – Jodhpur (B, L)

After breakfast leave for Jodhpur through the most interesting contours of the desert landscape and proceed to your hotel (5 hours drive). Nestling within the depths of the Thar Desert, is the stronghold of the Rathore clan - Jodhpur, once the capital of the former princely state of Marwar, the second largest city of Rajasthan, after Jaipur. The enchanting forts, temples, other royal residences and settlements retain its medieval character and comprise the town's multifaceted attractions. Arrive and check into hotel. Spectacular vistas of the blue-hued city. This magnificent Fort on a 400ft. high hill can be seen from a great distance. It is said that when the sky becomes clear after rains, Mehrangarh can be seen from 100 kms. from Jalore Fort. Jodhpur is also famous for antiques and artifacts or for textiles. Night at the hotel.

 

Day 11: Jodhpur - Ranakpur – Udaipur (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. This morning drive to Udaipur (5 hours drive). There is no place in Rajasthan, which appeals more to the imagination of poets and painter, travelers and writers than Udaipur, an oasis in the desert state of Rajasthan. One of the most romantic cities in Rajasthan,  also known as the city of lakes. The marble palaces, beautifully laid out gardens and the lakes make Udaipur seem almost like a mirage in the desert. Enroute you will visit the Jain temples at Ranakpur, superbly preserved in a near-perfect condition for over 500 years. Arrive and check into hotel. Rest of the time at leisure.

 

Day 12: Udaipur (B, L)

Breakfast at the hotel. Full day city tour of Udaipur You will visit the City Palace, poised over Lake Pichola, iridescent with tile and mirror inlay. You will also explore the town by walking through the narrow, colorful winding lanes. The light that reflects of the golden sands engulf a land renowned for its vibrant colors, people in the bright clothes and beautiful Jewellery, living in city dotted and dominated by towering fort and palaces that rise from sand like a mirage. Udaipur is one of the most distinctive cities of Rajasthan. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 13: Udaipur - Mumbai – Goa (B)

Breakfast at hotel. Morning fly to Mumbai to connect a flight to Goa. Upon arrival in Goa transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.

 

Day 14: Goa (B)

After breakfast, sightseeing tour of the city.  
Goa - Home to India's most attractive beaches with cool sands, tropical suns and swaying palm trees, Goa is a beach tour that takes you far away from the strenuous life into the lap of nature but not too far away to lose the comforts and facilities of lavish surroundings. The famous beaches of Goa include Calangute, Vagator, Anjuna, Colva and Palolem beach along with the charm of 16th century Portuguese settlement of Old Goa. The famous churches of Goa include Basilica of Bom Jesus that houses mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier in a rich silver casket, Se Cathedral with its 'Golden Bell', paintings of the Church of St. Francis of Assisi and Church of Mae de Deus at Saligao.

 

Day 15: Goa – Delhi (B)

Breakfast at the hotel. Free time to enjoy the beach & transfer to the airport for your back to Delhi. Overnight in Delhi. 

 

Day 16: Delhi Depart (B)

Breakfast at the hotel . Transfer to the airport for your flight onwards.
