Daily Program
7-Day Northeast Vietnam Itinerary
Follow the adventure route from Hanoi to Ha Giang, Dong Van, Ma Pi Leng, Bao Lac, Cao Bang, Ban Gioc Waterfall, Nguom Ngao Cave, and back to Hanoi.
Day 1: Hanoi – Ha Giang
Depart from your hotel in Hanoi at 07:00AM for a scenic 6-hour drive to Ha Giang. Arrive in the afternoon and enjoy free time to explore the small town or nearby rural villages.
Day 2: Ha Giang – Nam Dam Village
Meet your guide, complete safety procedures and bike practice, then ride through valleys and villages to a Dao homestay in Nam Dam, with photo stops and sunset views from Lung Khuy Cave.
Day 3: Nam Dam – Lung Tam – Yen Minh – Dong Van
Visit Lung Tam village to discover traditional hemp linen making, cross mountain shortcuts to Yen Minh, ride toward the Vietnam–China border, visit the Hmong Opium King’s house and the Extreme North Point before overnighting in Dong Van.
Day 4: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng – Tu San Alley – Bao Lac
Travel through one of Vietnam’s most spectacular mountain regions, hike along Ma Pi Leng Pass, cruise through Tu San Abyss Alley, stop for lunch in Meo Vac, then continue through remote villages and forests to Bao Lac.
Day 5: Bao Lac – Cao Bang Border Ride – Nui Thung Camp
Follow remote roads along the Chinese border, ride through dramatic landscapes, conquer Me Pia Pass with its 14 switchbacks known as Dragon’s Stairway, then spend the night at Nui Thung Camping Site.
Day 6: Cao Bang – Ma Phuc Pass – Ban Gioc Waterfalls
Journey toward Ban Gioc Waterfall through lush valleys and the scenic Ma Phuc Pass. Arrive at the homestay around lunchtime, rest, swim, then enjoy dinner and drinks with your host.
Day 7: Nguom Ngao Cave – Truc Lam Pagoda – Hanoi
Visit Truc Lam Phat Tich Pagoda for panoramic views over Ban Gioc Waterfall and the karst valley, explore the stunning Nguom Ngao Cave, then return to Hanoi around 19:00PM.
