Daily Program
10-Day Laos Itinerary
Follow the route from Luang Prabang to Vientiane, Pakse, the Bolaven Plateau, Wat Phou, Don Khone, and the 4000 Islands.
Day 1: Arrival in Luang Prabang
Arrive in Luang Prabang, meet your private guide, transfer to your hotel, enjoy a short orientation tour, then visit Pra Bat Thai for sunset.
Day 2: Luang Prabang City Tour & Pak Ou Caves
Visit the former Royal Palace, Wat Mai, Wat Sene, Wat Xieng Thong, then cruise the Mekong River to Ban Chan pottery village and the sacred Pak Ou Caves filled with Buddha statues.
Day 3: Kuang Si Waterfall & Mount Phousi
Optional early alms-giving experience, then visit ethnic minority villages and Kuang Si Waterfall, return to Luang Prabang, climb Mount Phousi, and explore the evening hill tribe market.
Day 4: High-Speed Train to Vientiane
Transfer to the train station and take the high-speed train to Vientiane. Upon arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel.
Day 5: Vientiane Capital City Tour
Explore Vat Sisaket, Vat Phra Keo, Patuxai Monument, That Luang, Vat Simuang, and the COPE Centre to learn about its work with UXO survivors.
Day 6: Flight to Pakse & Bolaven Plateau
Fly to Pakse and explore the Bolaven Plateau with Tad Fane Waterfall, Tad Yuang Waterfall, Jhai Coffee Cooperative, and a hike to Phu Krateh, a million-year-old volcano summit.
Day 7: Wat Phou UNESCO Site & Don Khone
Travel by tuk-tuk and boat along the Mekong, walk through rice fields, visit ancient Khmer remains, explore the UNESCO World Heritage Wat Phou Temple, then sail onward to Don Khone Island.
Day 8: 4000 Islands Discovery
Explore Liphi Waterfall, Khone Pasoiy Waterfall, French colonial railway remains, local island life, and take a boat trip to peaceful Don Loppady.
Day 9: Khone Phapheng Waterfall – Pakse
Transfer back to the mainland and visit Khone Phapheng Waterfall, known as the Niagara of the East, before returning to Pakse or ending service at the Laos–Cambodia border.
Day 10: Pakse Departure
Enjoy breakfast and free time at leisure until your transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
