Follow the route from Negombo to Sigiriya, Polonnaruwa, Kandy, Nuwara Eliya, Haputale, Udawalawe National Park and Mirissa.
Day 1: Arrival in Negombo & Road Trip to Sigiriya
Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport in Negombo, meet your driver, and begin your Sri Lanka journey. If time allows, explore Negombo’s coastal charm before driving to Sigiriya for overnight.
Day 2: Polonnaruwa Ancient Capital
Explore Sri Lanka’s Cultural Triangle with a visit to Polonnaruwa, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Stroll or cycle through ancient ruins, temples, the former castle and the reclining Buddha, with optional Ritigala ruins or Minneriya / Kaudulla safari.
Day 3: Sigiriya Lion Rock & Road to Kandy

Day 6: Tuk-Tuk Ride Through Tea Plantations
Ride by traditional tuk-tuk through tea plantations toward Lipton’s Seat, the famous viewpoint with breathtaking scenery. Observe tea pickers at work and take in the landscapes once associated with Sir Lipton’s tea empire.
Day 7: Udawalawe National Park Jeep Safari
Drive to Udawalawe National Park, check in and board your jeep to follow the elephants’ trail. Spot elephants, crocodiles, water buffaloes, aquatic lizards, mongooses and peacocks, then visit the Elephant Transit Home.
Day 8: Towards the South Coast
Continue south toward Mirissa, with the option to visit Dondra Lighthouse, the southernmost point of the island. Arrive at this lively beach town known for snorkeling, surfing, beach bars and fresh seafood.
Day 9: Beachside Relaxation in Mirissa
Spend a free day relaxing by the sea. Walk along soft white sand, sip fresh fruit juice, swim in the Indian Ocean, rest under palm trees, or arrange an optional whale watching excursion from Mirissa Harbour.
Day 10: Departure via Galle or Colombo Airport
Depending on your flight time, visit Galle for its historic fort and Dutch churches before continuing to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure flight.
