Mr. Robert Lepler
Dear Ms. Yen, Su-Yeon Cho and I wanted to take some time to thank you for the wonderful tour arrangements we had in Vietnam in September, and also give you some day-by-day feedback. Day 1 - city tour of HCMC: the driver was very safe, the tour guide was nice and very knowledgeable. The city tour was a good introduction for us and not too exhausting for us for the first day. We went to LemonGrass for dinner. It was not that great. We had coffee at Highlands Coffee before going back to the hotel. We enjoyed the coffee.

Dear Ms. Yen,

Su-Yeon Cho and I wanted to take some time to thank you for the wonderful tour arrangements we had in Vietnam in September, and also give you some day-by-day feedback.

Day 2 - Sampan Tour. We really loved this! The driver from HCMC to the Sampan departure point was very safe. The private sampan was safe, in very nice condition of maintenance and upkeep, and had alot of space for us. The bathroom was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. The guide, Tai, was very nice and a great host. Probably there was too much food for just two of us. The bicycle tour that was the side trip from the boat was a little bit unexpected. One of the bikes was not in good condition - the pedal came flying off while we were riding and they were not the right height for us. But it was only for a short time so we just "go with the flow"
and enjoyed it. There was one stop on the tour at the house of the people who were the basis for the film, "The Lover". The guide there was clearly very knowledgeable, and she knew what words to say in English, however, her pronunciation was so very poor that I had alot of trouble to understand. I should have asked Tai to translate for us but I did not want to embarass the host in this ancient house. Maybe you can provide some feedback to Tai so that in the future he can help the guests to understand the host. Everything else was really wonderful.

Day 3 - Sampan Tour..... more of same, enjoyed the floating market. The guys on the boat took good care of us and again the driver going back to HCMC was very safe. We really felt special in our private boat compared to boats of 30 or 40 tourists jammed together......thank you for arranging this! In the afternoon we arranged a quick trip to the puppet show by ourselves. This was very different and new experience! We enjoyed it.
For dinner we went to Pho 24 and then had foot massage and body massage after dinner, near the hotel.

Day 4 - we flew to Nha Trang. Of course a small problem with the pickup but as you know we took a taxi and you paid us back so not a big problem. We really liked the Nha Trang Sheraton (I had arranged it). I have a very high status with Sheraton Hotels worldwide, so they took very good care of us. We went to a Spanish restaurant, La Mancha....very nice.

Day 5 - Nha Trang boat trip: This was OK, but not that great. A couple of opportunities to improve: The first thing we did was jet-ski's and there were other watersports opportunities, but each one had a cost.
This was not listed on the itinerary you provided. I had some vietnamese dong with me but not that much. Everything I had went to pay the jet ski guys and give them tips. we enjoyed the jet skis. The snorkel was fine. Su-yeon did not want to do it so I just did it by myself. Later we went to the floating fish market. There we were encouraged to buy some fish or seafood and again required money. The guide was nice to loan me the money and I paid it back to him when we returned to the hotel. It was nice of him. We enjoyed picking out the fish and they did a wonderful job cooking it, it was delicious. My recommendation is that you advise the tourists to bring some Vietnamese cash, maybe 50 or 100 dollars worth for jet skis, fish, etc. It would have made things easier to know these expenses were going to happen.

Mr. Chung, the guide, was OK, but not as vibrant as Tai from the Sampan. It seemed like Tai really enjoyed his job, but Chung was not that energized. He was responsive, but we did not feel the same enthusiasm as we did with Tai. I recommend maybe just talk to him a little bit and suggest him to "liven it up a little". He certainlly is a nice guy. After the boat trip, we had a dinner in the hotel manager's reception, some wine and snacks and also in the executive lounge of the hotel, so no outside dinner.

Day 6 - Nha Trang by ourselves - we just relaxed on the beach and the hotel pool, had great Indian food for dinner.

Day 7 - we had arranged with the hotel, they have a Vietnamese cooking school. We were the only guests that day, so again it was a private event. It started with a cyclo ride to the market and a tour of the market by the chef. Then back to the hotel and we do the cooking and eating. We really liked this and we suggest that for other tourists you make it an option for future guests, they may enjoy it. The price was very reasonable. after cooking and eating we checked out and flew back to HCMC. No problem with the driver who took us to the Nha Trang airport. After we got back to HCMC we checked in at Park Hyatt, then we had arranged a sightseeing dinner cruise on the river in HCMC. A guide picked us up and took us to the boat. The weather was rainy and the food was not so good, but we enjoyed the experience. Afterwards, we went to the Hard Rock Cafe to buy some gift for friends in America, and another Highlands Coffee.

Day 8 - we had the trip to the Cuchi Tunnels. This was quite interesting. The boat ride seemed like forever but it was OK. The guide on the boat was EXCELLENT, perhaps our best guide - very energetic, funny, knowledgeable, and excellent English. Again you should tell tourists to bring some money so that they can fire the weapons from the war at the Cuchi tunnels. We took some time to do this - we really liked it - something very new for both of us. The food on the boat trip back to HCMC was good. Finally we went back to Park Hyatt and relax in the pool before afternoon check out. Then we went to Fanny's Ice Cream, and then upstairs was a Vietnamese BBQ restaurant that we enjoyed. Finally we went over to the Parc Royal Hotel.....thank you for this recommendation, because it was very close to the airport. The price was cheap for a good clean room.

Overall, we feel like we got a good value for the price we paid and we will have wonderful memories of Vietnam forever. Maybe next time we will explore the north area. We will definitely recommend your tour company to other people who will visit Vietnam. It was nice to have everything almost arranged and we always felt safe. Thank you again.
